Jakob Henriques plays music from the 19th
"OK, so Mertz is not my favorite music...when Jakob Henriques starts to play the Fantaisie Hongroise I am nervous. I am relieved to hear a good tone and rhythmic focus. I am relieved to hear his rhythm become languid without being sappy. I am relieved to hear the mood shift to introspective without wallowing. When the arpeggios kick in I am pleased to hear some impressive speed-this music requires the occasional fireworks."
